Little Nest
Welcome to Little Nest, a nurturing, communication-rich learning environment where every child is supported to learn, grow and thrive in their own unique way.
We believe that every child is different, which is why our curriculum is bespoke to meet the individual needs of the children in our care. We take the time to understand each child’s interests, strengths and individual ways of communicating, ensuring that these are at the heart of everything we do.
Our Nesters learn through a balance of purposeful play, exploration and carefully planned activities. Communication is central to life in Little Nest, and we use Makaton, gestures, symbols and spoken language throughout the day to help children express themselves, develop relationships and become confident communicators.
Our learning environment provides children with the time, space and support they need to develop at their own pace. Alongside developing early academic skills, we place a strong focus on building confidence, independence, social skills and emotional development.
Little Nest is not simply a classroom; it is a stepping stone. We want to give every child the skills, confidence and independence they need for their next steps in their learning journey whatever that may be to fly the nest. Whatever their journey, we are committed to providing the right support, at the right time, with compassion, flexibility and a belief in every child’s potential.
