🌟 Welcome to Year 1!
Dear Parents and Carers,
A very warm welcome to Year 1! We are delighted to welcome your child to our class and are looking forward to an exciting year filled with learning, discovery, creativity and fun.
Year 1 is a wonderful and important year as children continue to develop their independence, confidence and love of learning. Our curriculum is full of exciting, engaging and hands-on experiences across all areas of learning. Throughout the year, we will explore fascinating topics, develop our reading, writing and maths skills, enjoy creative activities and encourage children to ask questions, investigate and make discoveries for themselves.
We will also have opportunities to take part in a range of educational visits and exciting experiences that will bring our learning to life and create memorable moments for the children. Further information about these will be shared with you in advance.
In our classroom, we encourage every child to be Ready, Respectful and Safe every day. These values help us to create a positive, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and confident to do their very best.

To help us maintain strong communication between home and school, we will use ClassDojo as our main method of communication with families. Please check ClassDojo regularly for important updates, reminders, announcements, celebrations and messages.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us through ClassDojo. We will always do our best to respond as soon as possible. We truly value the partnership between home and school. By working together, we can support your child to have a happy, successful and memorable Year 1 experience.
