"I am a young mom of 3 who has had major housing issues including holes, broken windows, doors and pests due to the poor housing conditions and lack of property maintenance from Sandwell council. I have been constantly asking the council to fix the problems and had no joy. Thankfully, Chris, the family support officer, got involved and has had a major effect in the situation. I have since been told that I am moving to a new home with a fitted kitchen, heated flooring, a conservatory for my little children to have as a play room and a garage that's been made into a room which we plan to make into a home gym. I will be forever thankful to Chris for all of her constant help and support and being able to help me get out of those conditions. I do believe that if she hadn't have helped out I wouldn't have had such a positive outcome. I would advise all parents going through similar situations to get in contact with Chris as she helped me a lot more than any council member has done. Keep up the good work and thank you for being a shining star!"
