PE Intent Statement

At Glebefields Primary School, we aim to develop a fun, quality physical education curriculum that encourages pupils to achieve and excel in a variety of competitive sports and other physically-demanding activities. Our curriculum allows pupils to become physically literate, confidence and to gain knowledge about active healthy lifestyles and develop a life-long love of physical activity and sport. Our children have opportunities to compete in a variety of sports that will teach a variety of skills and tactics whilst embedding the school values of Ready, Respectful and Safe. At Glebefields, PE is an essential element of the curriculum, which allows our pupils to develop communication, cooperation and collaboration as part of a team as well as fairness and equality of play which embeds positive life-long values.
