The Glebefields Community Defibrillator
Last Summer, we set ourselves the challenge of raising money to purchase an AED (defibrillator) for use by both school and the local community. Well, thanks to the effort of school and the community, we reached our target and today it was installed! Even though we hope that we never have to use it, we are thankful that we have access to it should it be required.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed through the events in school and across the community, and in particular to Kim Arnold and her family, and to Jo Brookes, who organised their own events to raise additional funds. Look out for us in the Express and Star!
When you come to parents' evening, there will be an opportunity for you to try out a training AED to see how it works or to ask any questions you may have. The AED is in a coded box outside the nursery. Should you be in a situation where you need it, dial 999 and they will instruct you on what to do.
