Over the past few weeks, children from Years 5 and 6 have been taking part in the National Bikeability Programme, where they learn how to ride their bikes safely.  The course took place over two weeks and some of those involved managed to earn their Level 2 Award!

During the second session, the group, went out into the local area to continue their training.  This included turning right and left into a major road from a minor road (and vice versa), navigating a crossway and signalling appropriately.

Congratulations to all those who took part and to those who passed their Level 1 or Level 2.  This means we have some children who know how to cycle safely!  Let's hope they put these skills into practise!  A huge thanks to the specialist trainers from Bikeability who came into school to teach the sessions.
